The ideal individual will have the following profile:
- Experience in Trucking (preferably fluid hauling)
- Proven success in a management role of a company with 100+ employees.
- Highly organized individual with attention to detail
- Willingness to travel, on occasion
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Knowledge of business practices (Finance, HR, Operations)
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
As General Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the company
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Set policies and processes, in collaboration with other managers
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment for all divisions
- Evaluate and improve operations and performance
- Prepare regular reports for the President
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g., profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
